Text Box: What’s a Co-op?
We’re a co-operative studio that displays the work of local artists. But this isn’t your typical studio gallery. The artists are also “member owners.” We have regular meetings to decide the direction of the gallery. In addition to working several days a month, each co-op member is essentially a part owner of the gallery.

And unlike other galleries, members pay monthly dues to support the facility. In turn, proceeds from the sales go directly to the respective artists. That means our artists don’t have to mark up the prices of their artwork and have galleries take out a sizable commission fee. This also can mean a big savings for our customers!

Other artists have committed to show their work on consignment. With the two levels – full members and consignment artists – artists can participate at whichever level is best for them.

Text Box: The co-op is interested in reviewing the work of artists in a variety of media. The members vote on whether a new artist’s work meshes with our current artists. We try to not have too many artists working in the same medium, but we let that decision be made by the group as a whole.
